Making research careers visible, accessible, and attainable.

Our Mission
To elevate and prepare Black girls and women for research careers by increasing awareness, building confidence, and connecting students and parents to educational and professional opportunities.
Black Girls in Research™ is a career awareness movement dedicated to making research careers visible, relatable, and accessible for Black women and girls in grades 9-12, undergraduate, and graduate levels, as well as their parents, and the communities who support them.
Through educational tools, workshops and curated conversations, parent resources, and career exploration experiences, we introduce young women to the vast world of research and help them connect their interests, talents, and aspirations to meaningful career pathways.
We believe research is more than a profession.
It is a pathway to discovery, innovation, influence, economic opportunity, and impact.
